Why do we do it?
Last weekend, we held a workshop "Introduction to Healing Sound". This was aimed at those interested in knowing more about sound, complimentary therapists wanting to add sound into their practise and people open to learning the basics for entry into this amazing world of vibration.
It involved a day at the computer tidying up our presentation, physical work in preparing a space in our fabulous sound chamber, testing the technology and buying in food, drink and materials. On the day, it was a full-on 8 hours of constant attention, speaking and playing.
By Saturday night we were on our knees. So why do we do it?
One good reason, which I`ll tell you in a moment because it`s difficult to discuss this without letting ego dominate. Feedback was lovely and all positive. In fact, we scored 5/5 on every level. Everyone thanked us and we were able to help people source the instruments they wanted. There was no moment when we felt lost or unprepared - even when the tested technology let us down. However, that is still not why we do this.
It was the increasing knowledge during the day that people were growing in them selves, they were really learning and were taking things forward at the end which would be of use in their personal and professional lives. In short it was about `being of service`, the main reason for creating the The Chiron in the first place.
